Fuel Hoppers

Anyone who has owned an incinerator or any manually fed heating system will know that one of the biggest problems is its need for constant attention and manual refilling.

The introduction of the fuel hopper means the biomass boiler can now be considered as a realistic way of heating, the fully automated system transporting the fuel from the hopper to the boiler via a sturdy 8mm steel auger… this means no more ventures out in the middle of the night because your boiler has run out of fuel!

What sets REKA apart from other automated system is the reliability and durability of our hoppers and boilers. Our hoppers are design for maximum performance and minimum maintenance. A ram moves a grate on the floor inside the hopper agitating the fuel to stop it bridging and to push it toward the auger, the auger then transports the fuel from the hopper to the boiler where it is burnt in a controlled oxygen environment.

All parts on the hopper are made for the long life and easy maintenance, the larger hoppers have a side inspection hatch by the auger, so in the event of a blockage the auger is easily accessible without having to empty the hopper.

Infrared eyes control the amount of fuel being sent to the boiler and alert the control box if there is a blockage (automatically shutting down the boiler), the auger is also fitted with a fire lock which prevent fire burning back from boiler into the hopper, plus  a backup water sprinkler system in the case of an emergency.

Various sizes are available ranging from 0.5m3 to 30m3
